Stamford Woman, 22, Found Dead At Subway Station With 1-Year-Old Girl Nearby

A 22-year-old woman was found dead at the bottom of a bank of stairs inside the Seventh Avenue subway station in Manhattan with a 1-year-old by her side.

NYPD officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious female at the station at around 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, said a spokesperson for the NYPD.

When officers arrived, they found Malaysia Goodson unconscious and unresponsive near her conscious 1-year-old baby girl on the southbound platform, the spokesman said.

The baby was treated at the scene by EMS. Goodson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, the department said.
